Disk Write Error
I received this game as a gift last night and was really excited to play. However, after playing for 38 minutes last night and going to bed, I woke up this morning ready to play and when I went to open the game it refused to start and gave me a Disk Write Error with a lot of gibberish text and tech terms I do not understand. I have tried verifying the game files, clearing the download cache, and uninstalling the game twice. I would greatly appreciate anyone's assistance. Thank you!

Check your harddisk. It is not a game issue. Do you have enough space left? Is your disk still in good shape? Do you have issues with other programs as well? TSW is using a lot of disk space, this may cause you to notice issues sooner than with other applications.

You should be more detailed for a quick solution of this issue.
For example: 1) what are your system specs (Ie: cpu, MoBo, graphics, HDD);
2) Is the game installed in a mechanical drive or in a Solid State Drive?
What is your Operating System (ie Windows 10 or 11) and is it updated to latest available version.
A thing you could do quickly is checking drive health status with an app like Crystal Disk Info, a free small tool easy to use.

could also be caused if you install games on a external USB drive
or an anti virus program acting up

I have like 300 something gigs left on my C drive. Is that not enough? This is the only game I have issues with and I don't know how to check the quality of my disk without opening up my laptop and I want to avoid having to do that if I can.

The only question I can answer is 3. Windows 10. Whenever an update is available it will give me the option to update and shut down my laptop which I usually do and I haven't seen that prompt lately so I believe my computer is up to date. I do not understand the first 2 questions. I do not know what those technical terms mean.

No need to open your laptop. Google is your friend, have a look for checking hardisk. Is it an SSD or a traditional harddisk?

You say you play on a laptop, you only can play TSW on a good gaming laptop. If it says it has Intel Graphics,, you ar eno good anyway. To get your system specs, you also can use Google to find out how to do that. It is not very hard once you know where to look for.

The space is enough. It depends, I think, by the system overall characteristics: if the drive is mechanical or solid state (HDD vs SDD) and healthy (no physical errors in it). Type systeminfo on command prompt (Windows Key + X) and copy the result here.

It might be worth running the Windows diagnostic tools to see if that is causing the issue. Google sfc/scannow and/or DISM commands.
Were there any error messages in 'View Reliability History' or Event Viewer?
