Need some tips for two of the bosses
The Shinobi gets me with the teleportation slashes, and the Lunatic's orbiting tracking spheres make me want to aliven't. How do I deal with these two? They're the only ones that feel like BS to me, which is usually a sign that I'm missing something.

Do more damage. Seriously. If you are struggling with these, you need more damage minions, or minions that are better suited to murderin bosses.

For the shinobi, walking in a square pattern and dashing straight up/down when they teleport usually gets me through with no-to-low damage.
For the Lunatic it's gonna depend a little on the stage, but my most consistent strategy has been super dashing to the other side of the map, walking to the adjacent corner (so that he has a longer travel time), then super dashing again before the ball touches. This is pretty consistent way of taking no damage assuming you aren't on the smallest map possible.

I don't really get how to avoid Shinobi's teleport either, I've definitely been telefragged many times. But I can advise you to stay close to the Shinobi, while moving in such a way that you dodge the throwing stars (it's not that hard). He'll teleport less often this way, and your minions will have an easier time hitting him.

The Lunatic's balls have also hit me upon spawning, so don't get too close to him. I recommend super dashing from one side to the other at first, but over time this will cause the balls to circle further outwards, so at one point you'll want to get close-ish and wait for the balls to come back inwards, then go back to super dashing when you're about to get hit.

And of course, this is the best advice. If your minions are taking a while to kill the bosses, you're gonna get hopelessly swarmed later anyway.

I can relate for the lunatic guy, i had a very hard time with him across multiple runs. It got so bad at some point, that i lost 7 runs against him on minute five without suceeding! Here is what i learned:

The first point is obviously damage, which isn't really a tip or news for anyone. Now, for the fight itself:

I assume that you are making the same mistake that i usually made, which is trying to keep distance. Unless you have some insane speed, you simply cannot stay out of his range, and his balls will eventually reach you, leading to certain death. Thats the most frustrating part, cause it feels like you have no options.
The secret is to lure his orbs. Stay CLOSE when they are behind him, and once they get near you, move back. Now you are away from him, wait for the next ball or for the same one to do an entire lap around him. Once its getting close, MOVE IN again. It will slowly try to approach you, you dodge and repeat this process.
You can also mitigate some of the damage by dodging towards a ball, you'll iframe through most of it. Though i don't really recommend unless you make a mistake, cause you might throw yourself against the next orb right afterwards xD

TL;DR you want to lure the balls in this close > distant > close approach, while being mindful of the next orb spawn (60% hp and 30% hp, something like that) Since they might spawn on top of you.

As for shinobi:

I'll assume that you can deal with the fist part just fine, with the one shuriken throw. Once he starts throwing three, he'll teleport and move horizontally towards you for a quick strike. Pay attention to his sound cue (he always does this special sound when teleporting), and dash up or down, never to the sides. Lastly, keep in mind that his shurikens return after thrown, so you have to dodge them twice (try to not waste your dash, save it for the teleport).

I have a much better understanding of how to deal with the Shinobi with the tips from this thread. Honestly I feel silly for not having noticed that it was a lot like dealing with the elven archer boss, except you move vertically instead of horizontally to avoid the attacks.

It looks like other people have had the same intuitions about the lunatic fanatic; trivialized by run speed increases, otherwise a very stressful bob and weave.
