2 moves for an irish whip now?

I just want to know why? Like genuinely why this whole grab system when it used to be you could irish whip with 1 button press. Also I assume it's now impossible to do a running irish whip? What a frustrating downgrade man :(

I'd argue that to better simulate the IRL in-ring action, the gameplay should be tweaked to encourage people to use those running moves less, especially the running Irish whip as I don't think that ever happens IRL.

If a game is all simulation and realism lacking even the slightest feel of arcade style action it's considered clean but boring. A good game balances the two, for example 2k taking out certain OMG moments and even the OMG mechanic as a feature was a truly sacrilegious choice. The reason people like 2k19 so much is because it balanced the realism and arcade style so well in the gameplay and features. Spear into electric box doesn't happen much irl and would you want that removed? NO because it's just straight up fun lol. Taking out fun features, abilities, etc. is what has ruined some of these games in the past. Remember how angry people were at 2k15 for lacking a bunch of things 2k14 had. Case in point.

Also running or light jog irish whips happen all the time lol. Especially from quicker wrestlers like Ricochet, Seth Rollins, etc.

There's a difference between allowing things that wouldn't happen IRL because they don't have to take safety into account in the games and adjusting the gameplay meta because it creates a style of gameplay that isn't what you see in the ring.

Do you have links to IRL videos of this jogging Irish whips happening "all the time"? Not just with quicker wrestlers because it's done by everyone in the game.
