It's a guess.

Generally, once the next game in the series comes out, the discounts stop for the older game. So they think there won't be any more discounts after this until WWE 2K24 is out.

They could be right, but there is no official announcement of it or anything like that.

This guy is 100% right, it's a guess based on 7 years of looking at the prices of wwe2k games on steam.

a wwe game has never once gone on sale on steam after the next Instalment is released.

assuming wwe2k24 comes out in march I'm pretty sure this is the last sale for 2k23.
