constant crashes..?

this game has always run mostly steady, but lately it's been freezing and tanking constantly. I'll win a 20 minute match, it full freezes at the bell. I win another, it sticks on loading the win-screen, or dumps to desktop randomly throughout any point of the game or menus. I've made no changes to software or hardware on my pc.

did they change something..?

no, unedited superstars on standard play, and MyF.
I've had more crashes in the last week than the last 400 hours combined.
common one is the match will end, it will hang without showing the end-screen. can still hear buttons being pushed, but screen is frozen.
another is sudden drop to desktop, sometimes with Fatal error, sometimes no error.. i clicked past the error screen too fast last time, i'll screenshot it. i was going to record my next few matches just to see if i can replicate it.

yeah my game worked a couple months ago, now i jumped on and even my GM mode crashed

seems to be a lot of weirdness / errors / freezes during tag matches when moves are performed from the apron.. sometimes fully stunned AI will counter moves when they are stunned on the apron.

No they didn't change anything. That's why 2K sucks, they haven't patched this freezing issue and I have been telling 2K about this game breaking freezing bug since July. I even made multiple 2K support tickets. They don't give a crap, they would rather remove mod functionality instead of fixing their broken piece of garbage game. I am NOT buying WWE 2K24 because of them blatantly ignoring 2K Support Tickets.

that's rough. i'd let them get away with it if they weren't putting out paid-MyF packs weekly with the same dozen wrestlers.

wwe 2k23 on my steam deck constantly freezes and crashes too even with proton expermental on😮‍💨

i've had at least 7 full freeze crashes mid-match since this post, 3 i've i caught recording

edit: with no error, except windows 'this program has stopped responding'
all drivers/windows/etc up to date, not much else cept steam games on my pc

Do you have anything open at the same time? Anything like Discord, for example.

Is anything flagging as blocked on your anti-virus or firewall?

i've made a point to shut off anti-virus, disable all other programs, i set it's affinity to all cores and set it to High (just below Real-time) priority.

it's also weirdly the only game in my extensive steam library that has constant sync / steam-cloud errors.. almost every time i launch / exit, a lot of the time in-game. I have at a minimum 100mb internet in a constant area, with a router reset every 24 hours.

I really really love this game, it's my favorite grappler since wcw vs nwo: revenge. but it's really hard to recommend it when it always has issues, and you know devs are active bc there is new, redundant paid-packs almost weekly.. it shows where their priorities are.

if dev spent half the time they do on MyF packs on polishing the game itself, fixing gameplay bugs / crashes, using more of the large roster of wrestlers, not repeats every pack. i would def rec this game and probably buy 2k24 if they put more energy into customer experience... just hard to do as is.

Hopefully that 2K ticket gets a response soon. Did you try turning off Cloud Sync?

That's a completely different team and probably only some of them working on MyFaction stuff for this game, by now everyone else is probably working on the next game.
