Tag Team Matches Annoying?
So far I'm quite enjoying the game. I feel more hooked on it then I did 22. Not sure why but just something about it.

However is anyone else getting annoyed from Tag Team matches? I don't know if its the difficulty I'm playing on (Legendary) but its quite annoying to do tag matches. (Mixed and 6 man even more)

You basically HAVE to somehow knock the tag partner down to go for a pin or make them tap out QUICKLY to get a win. The A.I. seems heavily skewed to when whoever is being pinned. Their partner zooms in MUCH faster then the partner of the one doing the pinning. Its quite frustrating and even worse in Mixed Tag matches (As you can't hit the woman off the apron) and 6 man (because you have 2 partners to knock down somehow)

Anyone else agree with me or have a possible solution in the settings perhaps?

They will patch it. Same thing happened in 22 and they patched it after a month or so. under AI logic. They must use the base game of 22 as the template to build on

Was it an issue in 2K22? I did play it a bit but perhaps I didn't notice it or didn't do many tag matches to notice it.

This is simply wrong. That 'issue' is still in '22. And if you look at real life WWE, tag matches almost always end with the non-legal partner being waylayed somehow.

I do hope they properly patch it. Or at the VERY least make it to where both partners get in the ring at the same time. The hop into the ring times are VERY skewed toward the one being pinned. I'd understand if you have a super heavyweight and they climb into the ring slowly but thats not at all the issue.

It's one of those things I think could benefit from some gameification... perhaps a mini-game or mechanic involving those on the apron that determines which side gets the time advantage, to get there first?

Possibly but at the same time I could only see that if you're on the apron yourself. Would be hard to implement that.

I believe I remember in old games that if the partner was HEAVILY damaged they'd either tiredly stand on the apron and not be active or just flat out not come in because they're so heavily damaged. I'd prefer that....or again just having both teams get in their equally at the same time so your team can at least have the chance of defend you.

Not necessarily, as the ladder minigame was something I had in mind when pondering this, and the AI seems to cope okay with that, at least in my experience.

That could work, admittedly. Though, would that mean if the player was controlling someone in that state, they'd essentially be Stunned?

I believe if the player was on the apron you could essentially have it be a stun of sorts. Or just out of stamina. I know theres not a full proper stamina thing in this one but I do remember in maybe 17 or 18 tag partners at times would get tired on the ropes sometimes and be leaning over on them tired.

What they need to do is add an optional limit on how often the partner can break pins like how it is in real life

It may be like that in the R.a.W, but when was the last time you saw WWE enforce such a limit? And it is a WWE game.

Supposedly, it's one break per team but they don't talk about it. There have been disqualifications for it if I remember correctly.

and in the same line of logic it would also be nice if you could win matches off normal moves instead of being forced to hit every wrestler with 3 finishers. because when the AI partner can just break up any pinfall, but your guy never will, means they have more opportunities to land meaningful finishers to you, meanwhile, you can only kick out so many times before the mini game gets to be a bit rough. at a certain point it feels unbalanced when the AI never has to actually kick out but you always will and the only way to win is to resort to cheap tactics to win even if you're a baby face.

would be nice if weakened enemies could be pinned off a random northern lights suplex pin. Though I will say you can definitely pick these random quick pins up more often than in the previous game. One time I beat the AI at full health in 5 seconds by doing a normal clothesline and going for a pin, sometimes you get lucky. but for tag matches it feels like it would be nice to have more ways to win than just hoping for a finisher before you fail the mini game since the odds are heavily stacked against you as a baby face.

And also I guess it would be nice if the heels were the ones who broke up the pins but the baby faces didnt. like the heels should be using the cheap tactics to win, the babyfaces shouldnt have to, maybe they should get some other mechanic. idk.

this isnt a bug this is how tag matches go you have to work as a team
when going for a pin switch to your partner and protect yourself

The annoying part is when I go to throw their tag partner off the apron and end up in some long animation, like slapping them ten times. Ramming them through the ropes usually works, but then you have to deal with randomly getting countered.

Think 17 or 18 as you were hitting your finisher your partner would run in and knock the other guy off the apron. Dunno how hard it is for them to get this right.
