Controller not working specifically in MyRise match

Been playing for a good couple of hours, went to launch MyRise (with the green lady) and all of a sudden the controller isn't working in the match. If I pause with ESC, I can move around the menus with controller?!

I'll chalk it up to day 1 blues, but has anyone else had this?

MyRise the lock not recognizing controller

Im having a problem where in the first match of MyRise it will not recognize my controller no matter what I do and it was working just fine in other modes! Anyone else having this issue?

2K22 did that to. Launching the game in Big Picture Mode solved it. Which I gather is a fix for most controller issues across Steam.

yeah, i had this once. I fixed this with restarting the game. Don't know if this works for you, tho. And i mean exit the game, not restart the story or match.

Probably just a glitch, I did a fair few cena matches , an exhibition and fiddle with the graphics, fingers crossed it'll be fine. Game looks so good!

Yea, I had this exact issue. I did all the tips of close out and re-open. Open Steam in big picture mode from the 2k22 bug. Nothing has worked so far. Like you, I am hoping it is just a launch bug.

Sounds like the same issue in MyRise 2K22. That's because your keyboard is set as Controller/Player 1. Try closing the game, launch 2K23 but don't press any keys on your keyboard. Go to the character select screen in exhibition and see if your main controller is set as Player 1. If so, the issue in MyRise should be "fixed".

I did suspect this! Kinda hard as a big alt-tabber but i'll try to remember. I also had the cursor visible on screen too, classic.

if you turned your controller on while the game was loaded try restarting the game. My game let me use my controller in all the menus but once I got in a match it wouldn't let me play with it. Just have to make sure my controller is on and connected now before I launch the game

Controller stops working

Anyone know why my controller stops working and switches to keyboard as soon as the match starts? I can navigate the menus with my controller just fine.

What type of controller is it? And is this in any matches or just a particular mode?

It's a PS4 controller and yeah it's in any match.

Do you have other games where the pad works fine? And do you have anything else plugged in, aside from your pad, keyboard and mouse?

Other games work fine and nope just the controller. I've tried other controllers and connection cables too.

And do the other controllers work, or same issue? And in-match, if you go to Controller Assignment, what does it show for the superstar you're controlling?
