Unfair to button-mashers!

Whenever I mash Y, it never connects! And when it DOES show, it is, like... a MILLISECOND! Not fair to those of us with slow reflexes OR slow latency!

Not a button masher myself, but this does affect regular actions as well. When it comes to countering with the x button, I've taken to double tapping, as it often doesn't work with just one tap. Then again, it could be that my timing is out.

yeah, and i think if he keeps mashing it the prompt wont come up and he wont be able to reverse. correct?

Sadly the reversal system is one of many problems with this game series, it's only going to get worse.

Once you get the timing for almost every single move in the game down, it becomes super easy but in general the system is pretty flawed and buggy at times, too. Especially weapon attack reversals tend to bug out.

It's poorly designed in its current state, for one I've got the game locked at 60fps on a 144hz monitor, with most prompts appearing for about 3-4 frames, including the buggy aspects you said which have a tenfold effect online, it's more frustrating than challenging.

I'm honestly not surprised anymore, the last couple of games from this team have just been fault after fault with very little redeeming qualities.

Also it depends on how high or low the reversal stat for your played superstar is, higher stat means longer reversal window.

I'm a button masher myself, so it took me a while to adjust to this game. My beef though is that everything is context-sensitive and you have to wait for the prompts to appear, so if you try to pull your move one split-second too soon, nothing happens. This makes signatures and finishers impossible for me unless I set them up in a combo with other moves, because otherwise the prompt doesn't appear fast enough and the signal from my input peripheral can't reach the CPU before my opponent grapples me to heck and back. My finisher is just a regular punch, darnit! Why do you need a set up for a regular punch?

Last year, was way easier to reverse I think, Im having a problem reversing, cause the window to reverse is mostly really tight. Maybe ofc when you need it, you getting smashed and obvious a window is smaller to react, but its a bit too much. I get again this feeling you getting chain smashed, but can be that I just started abd I need just to get into the game again , get used and git gud I suppose. The pace is so much faster, thats what I feels like or that chick in green suit , just sucks.. she is so bad XD Im having fun tho... all good
