MyGM mode improved?

I LOVED GM mode in the last game and I know they say multiple season but is that like endless or just multiple rounds ??

I hope they fix this mode by giving the option to have unlimited/endless seasons just like we used to have in Smackdown vs Raw 2006 for example. Why should I care if I was a good manager or not if I won't have the option to continue and build on my success or face the consequences of a disaster season?

If there is no endless season mode for MyGM I rather be gone cuz the way they decided to do it is horrible. Feels like I am playing a DEMO Version and it's not worth playing!

Nice, I hope there is better roster interaction with the GM. Like I actually have more impact on peoples morale.
You can steal the other shows superstar too, hopefully this can happen more than once, and those one time special situations happen more than once. Ex. hire a low OVR person, vince or someone gives you a card to help boost their popularity.

if I push someone be cool to see them hang out in the MyGM office, telling me what to do.

Like in the actual WWE when they push someone basically means GM pet.

- 2 new brands: NXT 2.0 and WCW
- new GM's (Breeze, Woods, Kurt Angle, Eric Bischoff, Mick Foley)
- seasonal challenges, the Slammies, Hall of Fame Trophies, Roster Shake-ups
- extended match card
- 12 total special match types (NEW: Steel Cage, Backstage Brawl, Falls Count Anywhere, Last man standing, submission, iron man, tornado tag + the 5 match types from the previous year)
- titles: US, Intercontinental, RAW/Smackdown tag team, North American, Hardcore

No word yet if we get triple threat or fatal four way. Also no royal rumble.

Now I have a reason to buy the game as I LOVED to play MyGm back in the days in my PS2.

He seems to be pretty reliable with the information he usually posts. Not officially confirmed by 2K but it looks like legit info. The embargo is over tomorrow and content creators will be streaming the game and GM mode etc. so we will know whether it was true or not. But I don't doubt that this guy got the right info, he did leak the DLC content before 2K announced it.

I hope they relax the chess match of MyGM, like giants and cruisers are good match, giant and bruiser terrible matchup, it kind of gets boring after so long.

Thinking about it, back in the days it was usually same category fight same category like luchadors vs luchadors, cruiserweight division, not david and goliaths.

Like back then I don't remember much Andre the Giant rivalry with cruisers.
I do remember Hogan vs Andre, according to MyGM 2K22 that would be terrible matchup.

Speaking of that divisions, divisions is good for hype too.

Yeah I hope so. One workaround for this is to create a custom roster where you simply reassign every wrestlers role to that of a specialist. This way there are no mismatches since specialists can be matched with other specialists without issues. So you can still put on 5 star matches without being limited who you can match against each other.

I saw a video, classes/roles are back.
No matches with managers, did not see anything, doubt they are there.
Managers play a huge in role superstar success and ratings, people love Paul Heymen when he manages certain people. Even Eric Bischoff NWO. It's not just promo, its they are manager role. Even the managers with Stacy, Test coming out Stacy. Match is even better because Stacy is coming out, even though shes just a manager.

Some steps forward, but I got a feeling its still missing things. I don't know if the superstars on your roster talk to you more and what not too. I don't know what roster shakeup is. Think trading is better. Like in SvR 2006 you could trade.
I want more ways to affect the morale, like people on roster talk to me, I can talk to them, and so on. I can give someone I want a push.
WWE has a thing about pushes, is there such thing in MyGM, you know rivals, is there a push slot. I know they have cards, but anyone can do a push it doesn't need to be a card/special.
Crowd response meter, not pushing someone but they are hyping the crowd.
Things like that could help the mode, it still needs a bit more, I don't expect MyGM to be that good, but we will see.

Do ref's have headphones and a GM tells them to tell the superstars what to do if there needs to be a quick change mid match? If so this should be in MyGM, watch the match and say "changed my mind let Goldberg lose, but its by DQ, this is going to really upset the crowd, and get people talking, good for ratings!"
And based on morale is how the superstars respond, like if they hate you, they probably ignore your request. "Crowd is chanting 1 more time, give them the signal its a go ahead for another finisher, lets please the crowd, good for ratings!"

Going to try invest my time in 2K23 in MyRise if its continual mode, or Universe.

Who knows maybe MyGM will be good but I doubt it. It was meh in 2K22. Got the achievement and forgot about it.

I think MyGM in 2K22 was a good foundation. There are a lot of really good improvements in the mode. And don't forget that AI vs AI matches will be significantly better this year if you are into it. Personally I always watch every match Ai vs AI. With the new AI behavior sliders this will make AI vs AI matches much more entertaining, which is especially great for MyGM if you watch the matches. Like you can make every wrestler behave similar to their real life counterpart. For example that Omos will never dive from the ropes or never do submission moves etc. which is a game changer if you are into AI vs AI sim.

Overall the improvements are pretty good for MyGM. Sure there could have been more, but we can't expect too much in a yearly released game. For the short time they had, the improvements are pretty decent across the board. If they improve on it in 2K24 and make MyGM even better than in 2K23 then even better.

I saw the roster shakeup, it looks like a special unique card at end of month. Not sure why its called roster shakeup though.

So its like all shows are free. your next 10 matches if they are HIAC you get a boost if you don't do a HIAC you take a hit.

Thats what I saw from the UpUpDownDown video.

Looking at MyGM, I think it still has a lot of improvements to go. Last year I don't think many played it as much as 2K thought they would. I see the samething happening this time around too.

For me its get the achievement and bounce. I need more interaction with my roster for me to play it more. More interaction as in the AI is telling me how I'm doing (my roster, not vince mcmahon), if they are enjoying their time or not. Being able to take away morale from the opposing GM and steal their superstar when the contract ends type of thing.

I think a game the thought thinkers of MyGM should try is Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII. I think after playing that game they will have some good ideas what to put into MyGM and it would be more longevity to that game mode.

I did see they got a card for Cheat Code, but is that one and done? So you have many seasons, I'm guessing its only gained each new season or at start and thats that? In 2K22, it was at start and thats that, so if your playing 50 weeks, its pretty boring because your not earning those 1 and done cards anymore. The interaction dies off after week 10, so 50 weeks thats grueling, thats how it was in 2K22 for me.

I do like how they have some assistant mode or thing, I think its just tips though, but I think they should continue with making that better as well. Its MyGM, GM they not only deal with superstars but they have their own team, like
1. the people who hold the mic to do promos with the superstars cutting the promo
2. Assistant they provide guidance on what may be good things to do (could be a superstar on the roster, GM's pet)
MyGM is a boss, has its team to help make decisions and do menial tasks and the superstars who perform in the show
3. More ways for good matches.
Ex. Baron Corbon vs Rey, its a giant vs cruiser but Baron isn't typical giant.
Feel Mark Henry vs Rey is better, Mark Henry isn't a giant but his physique is like he's a giant.
So weight division has impact as well.
4. Fueds. Also, bring in fueds, fueds is short term, something to allow cruiser vs cruiser for cruiserweight, a fued for title, obviously Giant vs Cruiser aren't fighting over cruiserweight title.
Rivalries can be hard to get, but lasts long term. Goldberg Brock rivalry, they aren't fighting week after week, its something once a year once in a blue moon big matchup.
Fueds are short term fueding over something, not necessarily rivals.

Also, one other thing, I think superstars should some more abilities like in MyFaction.
Ex. Tables matches hardly affect stamina. This superstar is good at tables matches loves it, they don't get tired out from being in Tables matches.

Could use some cutscenes too, like end of show, if someone says something, have a cutscene of it and it is ok to just be text, but having a cutscene effect and seeing them while reading thats improves the ambiance or the vibe of the mode, makes it more meaningful and fun. Like in the early WWE/WWF games.
