No offline for Singleplayer MyFaction?

I think all the modes are offline. NBA2k is different because everything is integrated into their online playground mode that needs an always online connection.

MyFaction will need an internet connection to download the newest stuff to play, but some modes are a single player campaign and others are an online quickplay kinda feature.

When it comes to servers, I expect it to be counted as online once the shutdown happens. The only way I know to possibly confirm is to start the game in offline mode.

MyFaction is basically online singleplayer.
If you can't connect to server, you can't play the singleplayer mode in it.

I believe they have their own stat tracking and everything as well, can't remember the site you go and check it on though.

2K23 I believe has multiplayer MyFaction though. But have to be online to play any of the modes.

It's like you have to be online yet your playing locally, its weird stuff.
The matches are local, but the menu navigation and everything outside of matches thats online, ex. briefcase rewards, your team, etc.
If you have corrupted save game, and have to start over, MyFaction isn't affected by your corrupt save game.

myfaction will be online only even if its single player because they sell premium stuff, its how they make money on top of the $120 price tag. If it wasnt online you could just cheat and give yourself the things and not pay for them, so, it has to be online only to prevent that.

so thus myF gamemode is pointless i think. Cos with server shutdown in future it will become unavailable. And as this gamemode has no cards transfer from previous game we will loose all our progress. Do not understand that crazy things with 2K and EA games, they think that that tricks pushes us to buy fresh games, but in real life they just ruin our trust to them. I'd rather prefer blizzard games, they make bad games last years, but still run classic servers for 20 years. For such popular developer hold servers uptime is not a cost question, but only shows their care of players. 2K see us as wallets only

I don't like My Faction, so I don't play it (just my personal choice), but saying that it has to be online because someone would cheat and give themselves all the stuff just doesn't ring true to me. I think the only reason it's there is to be a cash grab, nothing more. I've been gaming a long time, I've played many game modes like My Faction with task you have to complete to get some kind of reward, those things were built in game and you didn't need to connect to the internet or buy cards to do it.... so no, this always online for My Faction is not necessary at all. If people play it and have fun that's good for them, I don't judge you for how you like to play your game (choices are good), I'm just saying that the always online for that mode is not needed at all.

Every always online game will shut down when the devs need space for their new games, that's why I try my best to buy games that can be played offline.

Every always online game will shut down when the devs need space for their new games, that's why I try my best to buy games that can be played offline.

there is also a bunch of games, where multiplayer will be forever long while ppl playing it, those are connected via p2p, like dark souls games, for example (servers there is needed to save scan only), so we definitely have good devs that cares of their game to be perfect, not only because of money

i actually have fun with MyFaction. The part I don't like is when the servers get shutdown there is no transfer of cards or progress onto the next game. I think it's serious BS that we the customers pay for special editions of the game to get exclusive MyFaction cards and rewards to just lose them completely once the servers are shutdown. There are 2 ways 2K could fix this issue. The first way is to transfer the cards you do have onto the new game, hell they could even charge to do that but customers would be a bit more happy cuz they get to keep their cards from preorders of said game before starting the newer game. The second way is also via an update for when the servers go down, you still have access to MyFaction mode just no access to daily challenges, locker codes, vc shop or any of the live events or quickplay. In that option you'd still be able to play weekly towers since they would all be up already, proving ground and faction wars. The only rewards you'd receive at that point is the unlockables as you progress through the game. And again once someone has completed all they can after the servers are shutdown, then 2K could charge a fee for us to keep our cards especially since some of the exclusive ones were gotten through preorders or buying special edition versions of the game. It isn't right in my opinion to take away all access to the cards we either buy or unlock if we have spent actual money for them, there shouldn't be such limited time access.

It's been like 6 years and they still got this same vibe, not a good vibe.
I like WWE, but the past 6 years of their games, not good. 2K19, 2K20 if not for the bugs was decent, MyPlayer > MyRise

I sure miss the ones from 2004. I miss the quality of games coming out in the 2004 era too.

Nobody talks any 11, 12, 13. Whole decade of garbage, looking like another decade of garbage quality WWE games.

I don't really need to get 2K24 either, because this game pretty same, just an updated roster is different and few modes not worthy of talking about or playing either. Its like Wargames, who cares.
You just need 1 2K20ish game and it is pretty much the same as the other ones, hence I refunded 2K24 didn't like that roster honestly.

Sad honestly.

I am looking forward to 2K25, and I am expecting to be disappointed. Sad.
Lost the interest in talking about how much these games have potential and being disappointed year after year for past 6 years.
