it's fun but also makes endless scale up extra hard, so if you care about endless you're in for even more of a challenge (or another way to say it is demon is the only viable character but even moreso)
i've seen people claim you can axolotl away your curse, but i dunno how you could have a run where curse is your highest stat and be successful...
could have used your voice in my thread about how ranged is weak because of pierce/bounce penalties and so on :}
maybe its an issue in endless but in wave 1-20 having more curse is almost always good.
I don't notice it except that it suddenly is a non-optional thing forced on me. Which specifically is a problem because of the "end a run with 0 curse" challenge. The challenge in itself isn't really that bad, but those weird incidences where a fluke gets you, I feel it doesn't feel good when you specifically go out of your way to avoid it and a curse giving enemy spawns next to your damage or your character randomly targets it just off-screen.
I feel like those flukes just need some counterbalance mechanic so I can counteract or reduce the curse. In an endless run, that may be critical to balance in terms of player control of that. But in shorter runs, it's purely because I didn't ask or want for it. I wouldn't be bothered if this wasn't like 9 runs of avoiding it and not having seen the curse enemy.
that's my only flaw with the DLC.
Besides I also see curse as a positive stat between wave 1-20 as mentioned above (which feels odd).
so I'm always going to increase curse as much as possible because cursed items are really powerful and extra scrap feels always welcome (unless I'm playing one of the very few characters that get extra punished for curses)
