TIL Ice cube is actually really bad compared to what I thought it is
Almost done with the game (succeeded all characters in d5 on crash zone and only 10 more missing in abyss). Turns out I read the item wrong the entire time. I thought it works like the lute so stacking up 10% more damage stacks until the 3 seconds are over. Theoretically really strong with a fast hitting elemental weapon (like flame thrower for example, maintaining a huge damage multiplication on bosses at all times), but its only the first time apparently, so only 10% ever. What a bummer. Could we not make that work like a gray lute up until 30% at least? 10% on elemental damage is so low though...

To buff damage with lute you gotta hit stuff in melee and it takes a weapon slot.

No opportunity cost 10% damage boost is nice. Cube works with any on-hit elemental damage proc, so you can pick up a sausage and have everything important marked.
On the positive side, it does apply to the first valid hit, including an elemental damage hit inflicting the debuff. It's also a multiplier with your other damage (rather than merely being added to your Damage%).

I still haven't had a chance to science-test it properly, but given the above I at least think of it as somewhat decent rather than awful currently.

True, that is nice with turrets for example, but its a blue item, so pretty expensive especially early up until wave 10 just for picking that up in hopes of sausage or frozen heart, which is even more expensive.

I think my suggestion is not bad honestly, because 10% on mps for example is nothing, compared to a laser gun, but being able to stack it up, would mean that every weapon, even the weaker but faster ones could benefit from it.
