Big one-shots killing me as Romantic

So I've been playing as Romantic and I've been killed at least 4 times by a ranged enemy attack (little red ball) dealing 70+ dmg (as stated in the dmg numbers), one-shoting me, from full HP.

Some clarification:
I understand that this character has low armor but in at least 3 of these times I had 2-5 armor and 60-70 HP and no +enemy dmg items.
These hits are not coming from bosses. They are just random hits from random mobs.
I have taken high dmg hits like this other times but I had negative armor or +enemy dmg items but the ones I'm mentioning here aren't those cases.

It is hard to be sure because of all the chaos but I have the feeling that these may be hits from charmed mobs that expire after launching the hit thus turning a friendly attack into an enemy one and the damage of that hit might be bugged.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this because I haven't experienced this kind of damage on any other character, even low armor ones or ones where I'm confident in taking +enemy dmg items.

I can't say I noticed this issue myself, I do tend to take random hits because of all the clutter from seduced enemies (I have them at about 50% opacity I think but it's still distracting.

What level are you having this happen at? Once charmed I think they just disappear after 8 seconds or something.

Never experienced this, but 2-5 armor is pretty low. I usually try to gun for 10 at the absolute bare minimum. Though, Curse only gives +25% damage. Was this happening in endless, or just regular 1-20 play? I know that enemy damage scales up indefinitely, but I can't imagine positive armor leaving you with 70+ damage hits without going absurdly far.

I don't play endless so this is around wave 15-18. Being hit for this much never happened to me, even at low armor values. Bosses usually deal 30-40 dmg and these are not from bosses.

Definitely sounds like some kind of bug then, but I have no idea what it would be caused by or how to prevent it. Hope it gets fixed soon for you though.
