Anyone else notice the game is incredibly easy now?
I picked up DNA. Found 'circuit' versions of the weapons I wanted.

Somehow, by using 'tech upgrades,' I was able to turn a smg into 300 damage per shot by last round. My SMG also gave 15 armor, 40 HP, and 20 dodge 11 piece and ATK % damage. I oneshot the last bosses on Nightmare with a single SMG.

Not only does the tech snowball incredibly fast but, if you upgrade the tech while picking up fossils, you'll basically be unkillable by round 10.

Look at the stats on this weapon. I didn't even pick up much stat-items, all my stats are basically from the weapons.

Is the game supposed to be like this? Or is this a bug?

I had been banging my head against difficulty 5 as the Lucky character for a couple weeks, nothing was working.

1st game with this dlc I tried the new Pan Pipes. Ohh My!! I am now on my first ever lvl 50 run and going strong!

Yeah, it got easier! I would say alot easier.
Same. Tech is OP.

Danger 5. I killed both bosses in wave 20 in like 3 seconds (really). And from wave 13-14 or so I had over 2000 gold to spend. I could just buy everything.
Played one game in danger 5 with a new character. Won, easily. So easily that it was boring. I forced myself to finish. No fun at all. Felt like danger 1. But less fun because everything was op and irrelevant
First try, did not even finish.

Update to easy, Mecha upgrades not capped.
Yeah, it's too easy now.
I didn't even see the bosses appear, they were dead the moment they spawned.
The mutation system is nice, but really needs balancing, it makes things way too strong too early.
The first run I did with the dlc was with the veteran on D5. Has some machine guns on him and after some mecha upgrades, he was unbeatable. I've never had such an easy run on D5 before and I've done D5 with all characters, most of which took several attempts.

The new item that charms enemies is too powerful, especially when cursed. Every enemy got charmed.

Second run was with Brotato Jones the archeologist. Same issue, went with the mutations this time. Started with whips, then switched to flails. Just ended the run on wave 42 because it was already too boring for the previous 40 waves...
Just ridiculous:

I'm wary to try the other characters, as I fear they will be too easy as well.

I can’t believe barely anyone is complaining.
yes, especially bummed with what they did to some of the elites, theyre not really a threat anymore

I mean, i did several runs with new DLC but can't find even one mutated weapon in shop, while people here have full set of those, i just get stronger monsters.

I feel like i play diffrent game than those people here.
Can confirm, tech op. However, the other variant seems realy bad :/ Especially in comparison!
I don't know. It might actually be a bug.

I had a much harder time pulling it off on the new map.

And i'm not sure if adding percentage damage or ranged damage was supposed to drastically increase the weapons base precent damage. That might be why things are snowballing so quickly.

I mean, I get why they are trying this system, especially with the amount of bloat in the game this does offer some consistency to get the stats you want. I've yet to try if things snowball quickly on other characters or not too.
mechanize needs a cap, and it should not scale the base item. it's stupid that it increases the scaling of the item,
like smgs are balanced around their low scaling of 50% to 80% ranged, but mechanize them a few times and they're at 200% ranged.

especially compared to mutation (which is also a lot of free stats, compared to before the DLC), tech gets broken broken by like wave 12.

Same dude. Tried 3 new characters & had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell of a time on D5. Got to maybe Wave 13 & would die. Tried D0 on droid so I could try to start to unlock the new tato quick, still no upgrades fyi, and I've never been so overwhelmed with lasers and red bullets before in my life by wave 16. Didn't feel like D0 at all, the most insane D0 I've ever played. I'll do it again and post a screenshot tomorrow. Had an easier time with D5.
