Does the Scared Sausage Item Stack?

Just wondering if it's worth investing in multiple of these items. You obviously can and it will show multiple times in your inventory, but the tool tip doesn't change to reflect any improvements to your burning chance. Thanks.

Yes it does, up to 100% change at 4x - tooltip only reflects 1x at any time.

The tooltip is for 1 sausage with is 25% chance to burn the target.
It caps at 4 as 4*25%=100% chance to burn.

Note applying burn to an already burning target refreshes the burning status effect and does 1 tick worth of burning damage.

Items with special effects really need some extra explanation.
Something like "+2 Melee Damage" is rather self explanatory what it does and how it stacks.

But Sausage - is it really stacking or are the procing independently?
4*25% or (1 - 0,75*0,75*075)=>57% chance "only".

Multiple snakes - the item just says it allows fire to spread, there is no mentioning that the spread is limited and having multiple snakes makes it spread further.

lumberjack-thingy - you can get more of that too, but does not seem to give any more benefits.

I mean, the limit 4 implies that having more than 4 would be useless, and it's not much of a stretch to think "oh, that's because they stack additively on a single roll so you're already at 100%". Similar to the monkey with an 8% chance to do a thing I don't remember, which is Limited (13) even though I can't see anyone ever obtaining that many until and unless we get an endless mode.

By contrast, Cyberball isn't limited so we have to assume those are independent.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure the lumberjack being Unique (can't get more than one) is the reason why Pacifist and Explorer now start with it instead of just having an identical passive.

After you have run into the limit.... And you can not even reason that as there are other artificial limits in the game (like you can not get 100% dodge, or over 10HP/s lifesteal).

You can't be sure. Might just stop at 100%.

On the item its has the following text under the name "limited (4)". If you not got this text you are playing an old version or got corrupted files.
