Chef + spicy sauce

The interaction between the chef's burning explosion and the item spicy sauce seems broken. I did a run with two spicy sauces (and not 3) with the chef, and I have the following four observations. My main concerns are points 2 and 4, the other ones are only there to give the full account of the interactions.
1. When picking up a consumable, a huge explosion appears on the screen. I cannot tell if the radius is the correct one for either/both abilities.
2. The explosion seemed to always deal the sauce damage, even though it should logically only do so 66% of the time. I noticed this after I had my second sauce, so I do not know if this was already the case with only one sauce.
3. The damage is the one without the burning bonus, unless of course the enemy is already burning (for instance when two fruits are picked up consecutively) in which case it applies the chef's buff (this seems like the correct behaviour).
4. The tooltip from the sauces sais it dealt 0 damage, so the damage seems entirely attributed to the chef's explosions.
