Why do I keep losing max HP as king despite not having any Tier I items?
I had 6 Tier II items yet I somehow dropped from 9 hp to 1 hp.. I don't understand why I keep losing max hp on this absurd character.

Now you're making even less sense.
A non-tier 1 weapon reducing King's max hp, did I get it right?

I think he was misunderstanding King's mechanic.
Thought that tier 1 weapons would reduce HP, while actually tier 1 Items do.
