remote play problems

We have a strange problem here.
I play with my mate via remote and then after about 1-2 minutes his picture freezes - he can still move and hear everything, but the picture remains frozen.

After I invited him to remote play again, it worked again, but every 2 minutes the picture freezes.

Then I stumbled across the idea that it might have something to do with the remote connection quality. Every time I went from “Auto” to “Balanced” or simply back to “Auto” through all the options, my friend could suddenly see everything correctly again.

Does anyone else have this problem? It's really unplayable like this via remote when I have to manually fix the “problem” every 2 minutes -.-

same thing for me and a buddy. it works for a while and at some point his pictures freezes. I kick him from the remote play session and invite him again, we play for 1-2 minutes and it freezes up again.
we tried it both ways, either my picture freezes or his, depending on who is hosting.

change this settings (on both PCs):

60 FPS + 720p @ Remote Play Settings in Steam (Advanced Client Settings must be turned on)

The host has to have a super fast upload speed for remote play together to work.

seems to have helped, we can now play together although i still do have to from time to time click through the quality settings when the screen freezes for my buddy.

try also to enable this option:

"Enable Advanced Host Options" -> Prioritize network traffic

I had this problem and was able to solve it by turning off the “Enable Hardware enconding” option found in:
Settings > Remote Play > Enable Advanced Host Options > Enable hardware enconding.

Same issue. Will try the hardware encoding setting. For me it helped to restart steam on the host PC. Quality settings had no effect. It's definitely a bug.
