Struggling on Dwarf D5 Crash Site...
So, Dwarf is the last potato I need to clear D5 with. Managed to do so with A LOT of struggle on Abyss map with blunt shenanigans and just grabbing every structure I saw in shop.

Now I need to do it on Crash Site as well (even though it shows me I have cleared it already, though the achievement hasn't popped oO), but I struggle with surviving against the enemies on this map, specifically tentacles and stuff.

It seems like enemies clump up less and have a wider effective attack range due to this. Is there something I'm overlooking and/or something that has worked for others on Dwarf on this map?

Cheers!

Okay just did first try dorf on D5 crash site with wrenches.
You get less passive stacks (I had 10 from 1-8, 17 by the end of 9 and 41 after a horde wave) as turrets clear a lot of trash mobs, but overall it feels less awkward than swinging around a big hammer once every 3 seconds.

I'd just spam wrenches and armor/hp regen. When it occurs to get extra engineering from the character's passive, good. Otherwise, doesn't mind ( I just play abyss because I find it more challenging, but I think it would do fine this way even on crash site ).

Wave 9 is your friend on crash site, that's where you farm your passive stonks.

Not sure if wrenches are it, but any sufficient range melee weapon (i.e. hammer, sword or spear) is ought to do the trick. Bricks are also neat as long as yours don't break on first hit.

Wrenches get 100% melee, give 1 turret each and their bonus is 5 eng ( which contributes to structure damage ).

on wave 9 ( it's the same both in abyss and crash site btw ) one would inevitably hit some extra eng from the dwarf passive, which is extra dmg.

Eventually, one might hit the nail ( eheh ) and go for a full melee build instead with better weapons just to add eng to melee, making them way stronger ( though the nail is not granted to occur ), but I prefer wrenches to chill early levels.

It's just wrenches spam can be the easiest solution ( mostly for new players ) to clear content, as they go with almost anything ( not sure whether there's a character that has negative engineering ).

Cheers guys, seems I just hit a string of bad luck then I guess :P Or maybe I'm just too used to Abyss at this point ^^

Regardless thanks for the input!
