If so, I think everything is fine until the game starts stutter/lag ( I like scepters though ).
it's going to cost you a lot of fps when each shot ends up making like 100 purple bullets fly around too, but it makes up for that by demolishing everything!
sounds like you struggle even winning a round ( 20 waves )
(if you struggle, you probably mess up your lvlups. aim for dodge, armor, hp-reg, luck n harvest. range for example is a trap even on a gun build.)
your weapon of choice highly depends on the character you play, as well as how much you unlocked. with each archivment you not only get characters but weapons n support items too. winning with king for example grants excalibur a legy sword.
for anything neutral, i prefer either weaponless or guns (mainly shotgun n shredder)

- SMG (or minigun)
- Sticks
- Ghost Axe and Ghost Scepter in the early game but after wave 10, no. Axe I'll keep if it's tier 3/4. I'll never have more than one of them since they cancel each other out.
- Wrench (especially if I'm melee-only and have some mines around)
- With the DLC, pruner (the DLC adds more uses for consumables)
- Hands in the early game for getting some harvesting going. They'll get recycled by wave 10 unless I'm playing Pacifist or something and need the knockback.
Everything else is way too situational. (or rare)
