Imho better minigame than soldier stutterstep carpal tunnel.
nobody is going to use manual aim to let a crowd build up unless they're playing dwarf or going for the achievement to unlock dwarf
if you think of a dwarf in fantasy media, is that really what comes to mind? he hits 20 people at once with a hammer and also has turrets for some reason?
and it's only in the first few waves where you have to kite the enemies a bit to get a big enough group, later it will just proc a lot on it's own without actually aiming for it, since the waves get denser. also alien + rats for more enemies are always good.
just completely disingenuous as usual. obviously hitting a bunch of people at once with a hammer is something an ogre/giant does. they even have that in the dlc as one of the other characters!
You can't. You will still attack automatically, only into a direction of mouse.
They are also depicted as tough. But this version is squishier than normal characters due to the slower attack speed. Not much of a dwarf.
you click while aiming away so it swings at nothing and the weapons all go into cooldown, then you can walk up and swing all at once. but even then the problem is you probably have multiple weapons sweeping over the same area and the crowd is in a small pizza slice shape next to you (so the weapons will rob each other of kills and not trigger the +engineering)
at the end of the day the people saying "don't try to hyper optimize the dwarf mechanic, just play normally and it will grow fast on wave 9+" are right
I find these characters funny, when you find out they work with things you wouldn't expect.
Like a knife ogre worked astonishingly well, because knives have a x4 crit multiplier.
