Ghost is just silly when capped
On a side note I got the item that boosted Attack Speed for each % of dodge too ....that made the mini bosses disappear.
All sticks + high dodge + high attack speed + few cute monkeys is my favourite build. It will easily carry most of the potatoes through high danger levels. I am pretty sure most of my danger 5 wins were done using this build.
Did it first time attempting it with farmer, which I read everyone crying about it, but I think he’s OP as hell. New to the game so didn’t read others strats which might be the problem people are doing and automatically writing off classes.
Pick farmer, pick shears as weapon, don’t get hit, next wave , pick shears again, don’t pick anything else, roll and pick shears. You should have at least 3 on the second wave, 5-6 by wave 3. On wave 14-15 start swapping them out, if you’re struggling pick a different weapon early.
Why is farmer so good in my opinion? Because shears give a garden, every garden gives fruit, fruit gives harvesting, 6 gardens, 3-4 fruit each garden, plus trees, plus any harvesting item, by wave 19 you can have around 2800-3000k per wave. That’s A LOT of extra stuff making you OP as hell.
On one side there is the fact that there are big differences between the calsses. There are really unique ones as well such as "Bull" for example that dosnt compare to any of the others.
The other thing is to understand priorities for early game (from wave 1-9 roughly), the mid game (10 to 15 or something) and the late game (up to wave 20).
I found that theres not the one way that is the right way or the best way or whatever. Some stuff that works great for me may not work for another player at all.
Here is what i like to do in general.
Early game:
1. Get your weapons (i know...bull and multitasker...) and if possible try to find a good mix of weapons that scale with the same thing like melee, ranged or whatever damage and that belong to the same group of weapons.
Example of a mix i like is: SMG, Revolver, Shredder. All have the "Gun" tag and scale with ranged damage.
2. This is the stage of the game where you want your Harvesting to stack up. The later you get harvesting upgrades, the less use you make out of these.
3. Other things i like to get now are purely damage-related, in case of the "Gun-Build" i focus on attack-speed and ranged damage. A litte bit of luck also cant hurt.
What I really dont need now is any defensive thing like HP, Armor or Dodge stuff.
Mid Game:
1. The focus is still to build up damage but since we should have base damage as well as attack speed, %Damage should be getting more and more valuable now.
2. If i see a good defense upgrade now, i would take it. Also some utility things like life-reg and speed upgrades may get useful in the near future, so I buy these as well. Personally Im looking for hp-reg upgraes now because pretty soon there will be enemies that can hurt a bit, HP-Reg is a reliable way to heal up for me, there are a few exceptons but most of the time I will get some life-reg.
3. Some Luck will help now as well since we are probably still looking for weapon-upgrades and the more luck we have, the more likely we are to find these in the shop and get better upgrades in general, also when we level up or. Luck has an influence in how many crates are dropped by trees and enemies as well as thier contents. I like to go with around 40-60 Luck as a rule of thumb, that works kind of good for me. In case I didnt find any luck upgrades until now or even have this in the negative range then its not ideal but also not the end of the world.
Late Game:
Time to take a look at what I got and what I still wanna have. Here is a rough guideline that I like for most of the characters and what I want the stats to look like when i enter wave 20:
HP: around 50 to 60, more dosnt hurt
Armor: 10 to 15
Dodge: I dont care but I know there is alot of players that really love dodge and if you do then go for dodge. In the end armor and doge both reduce the damage you take when getting hit.
Life Reg: 30+ i sometimes find myself with 70+, the more the better
Base Damage: I buy every Damage Upgrade i can get for a reasonable price. In the "Gun-Build" ist "Ranged Damage" 20+ is a pretty good number here.
AttackSpeed: I also take as much as i can. I normally find myself somwhere around 100%, sometimes even more.
%Damage: I also try to buy every one of these at some point after wave 9
Speed: there is a few characters where it really dosnt matter because they hit extremely hard and just destroy wave 20 bosses. For the rest like to be at around 15% at least. This may be very different for different players because if you are fast like hell but cant control it then all the speed may become an obstacle that makes gameplay harder.
All that Stuff in short words. In the beginning dont bother with defensive stuff. Get base-damage, attackspeed and some harvesting. As the run progresses, just keep an eye on your stats, keeps adding damage but dont forget utility and try to for defensive things as early as neccessary and as late as possible.
The game is alot about try and error and loosing runs to questinable decisions is just part of the experience. Who didnt die to buying the ghost when already having "Bloody Hand" or "Blood Donation"? ;)
