I can't play, black screen

I wanted to give this game a try, but it doesn't start, the screen goes black, I hear the sound, but I don't see the game itself

You're best to give us your platform, proton version (if in use), etc ... a "black" screenshot won't be of much help :)

Same here, Steam version, PC. Windows 10, was playing normally until a few hours ago, now it's just loading a blank black screen. The game seems to be running in the background, the mouse icon changes to the one used in the game but it's all black.

What worked for me to fix the Brotato black screen issue on startup with an AMD CPU + GPU, was this:

- Start the game as you normally would.
- Press Alt+R to open the Adrenalin software.
- Disable Image Sharpening in the Adrenalin software.
- Close the Adrenalin software.
- Close the game and then launch it again.

Alternatively, you can:

- Open the Adrenalin software before launching the game.
- Find Brotato in the list of games.
- Disable Image Sharpening for Brotato.
- Launch the game.

This should resolve the black screen issue.
