GPU irrelevant. This game requires only a decent CPU.

i have an old pc and it runs fine till 30+ with ranged weapons and lots of enemies on screen. I'd be looking into if anythings up with your pc.

Specs?

I bet everything I own that you're playing it on something either ancient or ridiculously cheap designed for Facebook.

This game runs on ****ing phones.

Sounds like an OS problem, or too much stuff running in the background.

How long have you been running the cpu? Its a decently old chip so if you have been running it for years you could be looking at errors having crept in. Particularly if you over clocked it at all.

It's more than enough for this game. That's not really how CPUs work either. It could be overheating and need new thermal paste but it's only 65w or something. (and tbh most non-AAA games it should also be fine for)

Also damn I'm getting old.

Yeah old system. Basically got the cpu when they were launched. temps are fine. Its only high levels with lots of projectiles on screen.

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd be talking about the Ryzen 1600 like it was slow. My Steam Deck has zero problems with this game and it uses hardly any battery life, but now that I think about it, the Deck's CPU is actually faster.....

Wow, anyway. I've had about 5 of those CPUs over the years, mainly due to their TDP/performance ratio. All of them have OC'd from stock 3.2GHz to 3.6GHz without touching the voltages and therefore not increasing temps, mainly because they came from the same binning as the 1600x. You could try that. If you don't know what you're doing, it's fairly simple and there's plenty of YT guides.

Will look into that. Cheers
Same here. Lagging like crazy when a lot of turrets and ennemies. Even with very good hardware. That's game is awesome but was optimized by a potato. How a such ugly game can be so slow? That's a shame.

This thread was made before V1.1 patch / DLC. Ever since then, it's run a lot slower with reduced stability. Clearly some spaghetti code going on. I never used to get frame drops on Deck but now I do on later waves.
