is there a meta progress?

Hi, Im new to this game. Do I understand correct, that there is no meta progress in this game. By meta I understand that bonuses that add/stack as they are being unlocked? Like in VS or likewise games? I see that I can unlock characters (well... types of potato, hehe), difficulty level but progress in the game does not affect same type of gameplay, right?

No meta progress, only item and character unlocks which are sort of side-grades.

It can be a bit more than that if you unlock a Brotato who's style you really like. That can change the whole game for the better, permanently.

Good to know. So far I seem to struggle a bit... never went past 14th stage ;-P
