He starts with a decent +8 to harvesting, so getting more of it early is nice. Early melee dmg is nice if you run into a hitch and cant get more Sticks so you can keep killing. Attack speed is of course super important, here I didnt get it early at all so I went with melee dmg. Later on start stacking %damage. Some Luck, Speed, Range, HP, armor, basic melee build. Consumable healing boosts are critical, and the Cute Monkeys are nice too. Dont bother with Dodge, HP regen or Lifesteal.
Here, I just recorded this for you, first try, compare your decisions to mine and see what youre doing differently.

This isn't a good route because many stats stack with each other favorably. An easy example is Damage% and Attack Speed: If you have 100% of either, you get x2 DPS. If you have 50% of both, you get x2.25 DPS. This is likewise true with HP and Armor; only have a lot of one is way worse than having some of both.
If you want to try without the options you could check some very good players play on youtube, I mean players who don't cheat or use mods, and learn how they play, even if it would be better if you could go with your playstyle like building your economy early, going damage mid game and later focus on being tanky.
Sadly the game is rng heavy so it's hard to tell you what to pick since the shop is rng while in Vampire Survivors it would be easy to tell you what to pick since you have options to counter rng.
