Top 5 strongest characters for D5 from your experience?
I am talking about which character has the highest win rate (chance of winning) in your opinion/experience.

My list:

#1 Loud (slingshots or shotguns)

This guy has great damage off the bat. Build damage early, upgrade weapons and take every mouse/Gentle Alien you can find and you end up with insane amounts of resources every round. He quickly scales out of control.

#2 Knight (swords and/or saws)

Gets high damage while building defense, what more is there to say? Extremely solid character. Very easy to win with.

#3 Explorer (cacti and choppers)

Basically just get enough movement speed early + some harvesting, some defenses for the midgame, pick up every food item and you are good to go. You'll outrun all of the mobs and have plenty of sustain from trees.

#4 Pacifist (Hands)

Basically the same concept as Explorer except you are using knockback for survival and not regen from trees.

#5 Masochist (scissors and saws)

Very strong character. He is very bad at killing the big guys and elites early in the wave, but he has a ton of sustain, scales like crazy and gets lots of resources from moving through the smaller guys. When health starts dipping, he can just run out for a couple of seconds and let regen do the rest.

Special mention:

# Doctor

Might be a fluke, but he seems extremely strong. Might actually be the strongest character. Will have to do more testing.

Agreed for the most part, though in my opinion Explorer is firmly mid-tier.

Loud and Knight are by far the most easiest to get D5 wins with. I have 100% win rate with them, you just cant fail really if you have any idea how to play this game.

#3 Brawler

#4 One-Armed with Slingshot/Shotgun

#5 Mutant

Special case for Saver and Entrepreneur, they have the potential to be the absolute strongest classes, but they dont come online until very late in the run (if ever). Playing them isnt fun because most of the run youre struggling to just make do. Demon is also kind of like them, one of those classes that once it gets rolling the economy of the game breaks down.

But all 3 of those are somewhat difficult to play, especially Demon if youre greedily in 1-2 shot range for the first 10 waves.

And he's only bad at killing the big guys and elites if you've never bothered raising your Damage % (relying only on the Masochist's ability) and/or try to take them out at the very start of a wave.

Throughout the wave, he does deal with the them well, yes. Sometimes it takes too much time to charge up for elite, but it depends how much offense you have been stacking by then I guess (early shops and levelups).

I edited the post to clarify, as I think I failed to explain it.

Well, on my run this morning with Masochist + Scissors, I was at something like +30% going into Wave 20. :) It was an easy win, despite no sign of any saws and only having 4 blues and 2 purples when I killed the boss.

Yeah. He is pretty strong. Harder to lose than win with him, he doesn't really need much to win.

So far I beat D5 with Lucky and Hunter. Really Surprised Pacifist is on your list, Pacifist was the last one I beat D0 with after like 10 failed attempts and it was really difficult for me.

Pacifist probably harder now due to elites offering actual challenge for that class. Before Elites it was easy free D5 win.

Nothing can compete with 90% dodge Ghost.

Lots can, its a mid-tier class.

Iam a bit surprised that Engineer isnt on the List so far.
He was the first Character i beat D5 with.

Its easy to build because you can ignore so many stats with him, which allows you to pick up most items without any downside.

And if you are lucky and get 2-3 healing turrets, its pretty much impossible to die.

You're pretty screwed if you get the summoning elite on wave 12, though.

If youre decent at manual dodging you'll be fine. But you need some good DPS and a couple of healing turrets by that point to kill them before they start overrunning your position

What are yours?

If you mean trying to actually battle the enemies then I'll give the list, otherwise , I can make any character pacifist with harvesting + survivability and knockback and never die, just survive the timer and cheese the game.

1# ranger (smg + lifesteal build)
2# loud (with explosives)
3# hunter with shurikans
4# brawler (fist / power fist explosive)
5# farmer (engineering build)
