Difficulty scaling without hero scaling needs to be addressed...otherwise, sad face.
On danger 5 and going to stop playing.

For those that just gonna comment with the typical, git gud, l2p, go cry, go off yourself can just see themselves out.

Echoing what I've seen in the comments. D5 and onwards makes it so that you just need to roll the exact combination of upgrades to realistically hope you squeak into that meta.

Some of the characters make D5 and onwards seem dumb-hard. Inflation + 100% markup due to negative character trait, good luck.

When your only idea of making a game more difficult is to make the mobs faster, stronger, and healthier and you give the characters no equivalent scaling, then you have done something wrong.

Some of the characters even just become a lets run away for 90 seconds at the final boss because I cant face-tank them even though I was literally mowing down mob safely from waves 1-19 (aka Bull).

Is there a reason why they nerfed everything good into the ground? Putting a limit on alien, nerfing armor damage reduction, nerfing max evasion.. like why? If you're going to make it so that you need to have perfect rolls to beat D5 then you shouldn't nerf the evasion / armor.

Maybe you should also take a look at the things that were buffed in the patch instead of only looking at the things that were nerfed. Enemy damage was reduced significantly for starters. The changes to armor and dodge were obviously made with that in mind.

It doesn't matter. Fireball spam is real and there really isn't "skillful" play after wave 8. Your potato either got the god rolls, or you die.

IIRC only the boss damage was reduced the actual mob enemy damage was increased (D3 onwards)

I think instead of damage increases enemy numbers increasing would be a better difficulty modifier. It does the same thing without one buffed rogue enemy taking out two thirds of your health in one hit.

Eh I don’t agree. My first time on d5 atm and I’m on wave 17. It can’t be as bad as you’re making it out to be.

It's max difficulty, it's totally fine if only low percent of people can beat it. In many games max diffculty looks like that.

Especially the greater Rogue-inspired ecosystem, where the base difficulty is intentionally too hard for mere mortals.

You are talking about Wave 14 and 15. If you have this problem, you are building bad... Go for more damage to be able to clear. (Some potatoes could struggle anyways, or are not supposed to clear)

Nope. At that point you need to have good stats to continue the run. A glass cannon build can make it that far with a bit of luck.

Not sure, what you mean. Just saying that you need a certain amount of damage at wave 14 to not get overwhelmed.
