flat damage upgrades are affected by the -25% damage
To be honest, I am trying to clear D5 for chunky, i don't find the hp regen so problematic than trying to get a positive Speed bonus. All my runs are dying to wave 18 due to not being able to get enough movement.
Of course they do, it is just easier to overcome them earlier by a few points of Ranged Damage. Example for SMG, with -25% dmg, u start off at 2 dmg instead of 3. With 1 point of investment in Ranged Damage, you are back to default instead of having to put +25% damage.
Whereas in the case of the starting weapon, the Rock. The base damage is 20, but starts at 15 due to the -25%. You need +5 melee to get back to base damage.
Yeah, I played the old one at D0 for the unlock, it was very strong with the old regen system.
Yeah, ngl it is kinda boring. Most characters can get strong enough by wave 9 or 10, and can start pivoting to defensive stats for the rest of the game, and occasionally picking up DPS stats.
On my very lucky games where I get a bunch of good weapons and stats, it is still an uphill battle where I am always lacking in something, be it regen, armor or speed.
This character needs a bit of tweaking for sure.
