explosion damage ??

so ,, explosion damage, is counted do too what ?? only explosion size and the accordine explosion damage multypliyer ?? or is range and luck,, elemental also included ??
i had a char with 75% change rate, with 2 explosion range, 17% range damage 20% life steel, , and 16 ranged damage ,, but did not feel a realy improvment on damage output ?? need help plzz :) sorry for english

The explosive items affect everything with the word "explode" in the tooltip.
Also +% explosive damage is the same as +% damage for explosive weapons.

It working fine for me with Shredders and Rocket Launchers. What weapon where you using?
