How to win with "Crazy" (D5) ?

I've tried countless times... It's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difficult. He's by far the weakest character in the game imo. The -30 dodge malus is hardcore. Considering dodge is the most broken stat in the game, which pretty much any character needs to survive the hellfest which are waves 17/18/19/20.

I tried going super tanky with Crazy. 120 health and 18 armor : didn't do the trick. The ennemis still overwhelm you extremely fast.

Anyone got a tip for that ?

You dont need dodge if you have armor and lifesteal.

Probably better to focus on only one type of weapon - stock knife or shiv, maybe only swap to one or several swords from Mage unlock, because he cool, but not any others blade-type.

Shurikens, crit and lifesteal. Or static shivs, lifeteal and elemental. On paper. Thing is, lifesteal is ♥♥♥♥ stat (2% for white is not even worth investing). It's not as bad as gladiator tho, at least crazy doesn't have a scuffed economy. Beta patch pushes this class into garbage tier, you better avoid it.

i would try go for shivs hybrid build or ghost weps

Sounds like you dont have enough life steal or regen.
Oh and if you not playing beta build the tentacle boss is buggy and don't always have the delay before it attacks hit.

I did it first try on d5 with 6 lightning shivs, lighting shivs felt super powerful, bounces cleared everything for me.
wave 20 was also easy, I just kept in range of the boss, focused on dodging the boss projectiles and the bounces cleared the rest.

I always include 1 or 2 ethereal weapons being range or melee depending of the build, no mather what core type of weapon im choosing. free stats helps ALOT when you dont get that much money. some times i just build 4 of those with 1 or 2 explosive ones to get AoE clear. try to be miserable first 8 waves and build harvesting/luck too. those go a long way in later rounds. Anything that nets you extra money early is worth picking up if you can stay alive. fix whatever is missing from the build last waves.
