I had a pretty successful run with Shotgun. Emphasis on HP, Lifesteal, Range and Ranged Damage, with a bit of Armor. I was able to lifesteal through any damage, but was one shotting most enemies.

SMG, Shotgun, Shuriken, and Slingshot seem so far to be the best options for One-Armed.

I really like shredder. But I haven't tried anything else. Also only 0 and 1 difficulties.

Shredder worked for 0 for me, didn't try it anything harder
needs to get lucky with explosion size, and never does >_>

Slingshot is easily the best one-armed weapon. Stack luck early and restart until you get an early sack / some harvest. Then just make a red slingshot and watch everything fall over. This strat works at D5 too, but you'll need to figure out how to heal off damage... It'll depend what items you're offered but I prefer life steal on him.

Shotgun makes things easy. Prioritize things that give you bonus damage over everything else except what you need to avoid most enemies and survive a hit or two. If you can get a bandanna and a pumpkin (Piercing and damage), you'll probably do well. If you can get the thing that gives you ricochet forgot what it was), you've basically won on the lower difficulties.
More damage, not crit chance, to survive 11 l, at least 6-7 armor, 20+ hp and something, what can kill many aliens pretty quickly.

Start with slingshot, get some luck+harvesting early - 50/50 works just fine.

Other that upgrading your weapon, focus on ranged attack, attack speed, damage and speed, grab the power generator if you find it, keep raising luck when it's convenient, 50ish hp helps, some recovery for when you're unlucky, always grab more trees,

Late game if you have the power generator focus on speed to both avoid the boss and raise your damage, crit works wonders if you don't spend too much on it, grab a headband/baby with a beard if you find them, and keep buying stuff that raises your ranged attack, damage(/speed) and attack speed.

Sifd's relic is very good because drops will be all over the map.
Hunting trophy is insane if you have or can get high crit.

i always started with a SMG and then put everything into range damage and crit chance. Best combo was ricochet and minigun (red), could almost stand still and watch the game
Ghost Scepter. Every level up alternate between attack speed and ranged damage.
Buy hp regen items, get armor above 15.

By wave 15 you should have about 250% attack speed and 60 ranged damage, combined with a Tier 3 or 4 Ghost scepter, and the max health gained from all those kills and hopefully more then 25% hp regen, you should be looking at 150+ max hp and your basically god mode.

Blindfolds help with swarms, exoskeletons & estefy's couch are the best reds.

Similarly, the Ghost Axe can get you a crazy amount of damage bonus. Then you switch to an SMG or minigun later one and mow things down.

slingshot is an easy win

Ethereal Axe.
You will reach free damage in the hundreds quickly.
Get hp, regen and armor to sustain. Flat damage to make use of all your scaling as needed.
And be sure to get some range, you have plenty of attack speed to ignore penalty.
Depending on how far you wan't to push it, you can swap to a better weapon at 300-500% Increased Damage.
