Pico Neo 3 Link stuck on "Checking for USB Connection"
I need help.
I recently got a new Pico Neo 3 Link, and I'm unable to use the DP cable connection.
Whenever I try to use Pico Link, it says "Checking for USB Cinnection", but it doesn't find it.
I have obviously connected the headset to USB 3.0 on the motherboard, the dp to the one on the GPU amd the headset is on.
Does anyone have any idea of what is going on?

Did you start it in this direction?

1. Start Pico Link (PC) Software

It should show "Computer Configuration" and "SteamVR Detection" in green, so it is ready for the Connection

1.b Start the DP Connection over the blue Button in the right bottom corner.

It should now wait for the headset

2. Start Pico Link in the Pico Neo 3 Link headset

It should now connect with the PC

3. Start SteamVR, if SteamVR is not on Autostart in the Pico Link (PC) Software

Enjoy

That is the normal way you use it and how it should definitely work.

I did all of that yesterday and didn't work. By the way, after a lot of testing, I found out it recognises the USB connection only if, after putting the usb type-c in the headset, you move it a little bit in a precise position.
Is it normal to be like that?

What do you exactly mean? Normally you plug the USB-C from the DP to the headset into the right USB-C plug (is covered) and screw it tight. The left USB-C is free.

Did you tried different USB ports on your PC? That can also be a known issue on VR headsets in general. I'm not sure if it needs to be a USB 3.0 port.

Yes, that's what you should normally do I guess, but if I screw it tight, it loses connection. The only way I can play is without screwing it at all and plugging it in the right USB-C plug very carefully.
Changing USB ports on my PC changed nothing.

Hm, maybe it is a cable problem then, you wouldn't be the first. Run out of ideas.

I think the problem is solved, I have contacted Pico's assistance and they told me they will replace the cable.
