So yes.
You'll be able to play the game to completion however it looks to be one of the tougher games to run.
Imo, Dolphin is the most user friendly, most compatible and most accurate emulator out there for GCN/PS2/XBOX era. What I'm really saying is that the Xbox version of SC:PT is far superior to the GCN or PS2 versions due to graphics and lighting. I can't bear playing the GCN version when a better option exists.
Ideally I'd buy PT for PC (as I own SC1 and CT on Steam) but PT doesn't run well on modern computers.
I'm happy with the GameCube/PS2 versions overall, as less visually equipped as they are, because they add extra content to the game.
Considering PT probably will never make it to the Steam Store, this will be a decent alternative.
PC version for me too if I could get a controller to work nicely, but alas, emulation is the way to go. I did pick up the trilogy on PS3 a few years back. Buttery smooth but the ports are based on the PS2 and PC versions where lighting isn't as good. Honestly, the Xbox versions of ALL the SC games are the way to go, especially Chaos Theory.
