how to mine dangerous ore?

im playing the demo and im unsure if i need to unlock some tool or if its just progress locked.

you need better tools. the iron pick can mine them. it needs 2 iron bars and 1 stick. tools show up in the crafting menu when you have all the materials and aren't something you unlock
