Why isn't there a Mac version?
It's based on Infiniminer; so it could probably run on a toaster. It's written in C⧺; which is supported on macOS.

I'm not sure what to make of the Infiniminer comparison since, amongst other things, Infiniminer only had to handle finite worlds that were just 64x64x64 blocks in size and certainly didn't have to multiply that number of blocks again by adding a fourth dimension... but that aside I'm afraid that I don't have an answer for your question. Some threads on the 4D Miner Discord said something about using Proton/Wine?

Toast x1000 = toast still by todays standards, but running 2 operating systems simultaneously = 🗑️🔥. Mostly because of incomplete and buggy emulators. Besides there isn’t a Mac version of Proton either as far as I could find.

Meanwhile with any good compiler you have the option to compile your project for macOS or Windows. You can even do it in Visual Studio with CMake, but it’d probably be easier in something like CLion. Though since it doesn’t exist yet I suppose I’ll try Wine. I used Wine in the past with rare effectiveness.
