demo is unplayable

The demo is unfathomably unplayable. It's not a game.
In my first world, I spawned in a sheer, vertical hole. I can't fight nor mine.
That's the image of the game the developer is giving to players who come to the Steam page and try the demo.

I have. It's a demo, I don't need to. I do.
If there's a key that corresponds to "break block" I did not find it.

On experimentation, it turns out that leaf blocks and plants are the only blocks that can be broken by hand.
The game doesn't give me any indication of this.
- It's absent from the in-game tutorial.
- Any keybinding for block breaking is absent from the controls.
- There is no hand model and animation to show me trying and failing to break blocks.
- There is no sound to indicate block breaking.
This is the worst demo I have played.

usually you need to mine leaves for sticks and and then dirt with the sticks to get rocks to craft tools, however windows seems to have some render errors. You can go join the discord if you havn't yet, I think someone posted a fix for that. it's https://discord.gg/w66xvRCfgA , Sorry I was a bit mean earlier, it's one of my favourite games so seeing problems with it makes me unhappy

This game has really decent base understanding of the 4th dimension and i like the visual representation! Except the real one would be a lot more hectic and less controlled xD

This was also a major flaw with the game this one was inspired by, Minecraft. And still is, to a degree, though it has gotten a little better at giving the player an idea of how to play the game than it was. So it's definitely an issue, but an inherited one.

I think it's important to recognize that the main feature being showcased via the demo is the implementation of a 4D world, not so much the "supporting" features that make a playable game out of that main feature. The lack of such features that would make it more playable as a game may be a valid critique, but at the same time I strongly suspect most people aren't discovering this game by stumbling across the steam page. Whoever does may simply find themselves at a loss for what to do, but the dev has at least one video that blew up a bit on Youtube some time ago, so I would guess that a lot of people (like myself) who come here to try it out have already been exposed to the basics of how it works.

just create a new world and don't use the same seed. you will probably* spawn somewhere else. *unless the unprobable chance of repeating seeds.

I don't know if it's seen a lot of updates recently, but I figured out everything by myself going in blind after 2 or 3 hours of play. I just had to go to the wiki to figure out I can kill butterflies to make the 4D glasses. otherwise I didn't have any problems.
