Only in the USA where a very minor group of people seeking to assert their DEI rights was there any traction on the subject at all and yet the USA didn't want to hear it. It wasn't until African-Americans managed to free their bonds and their chains from the institutionalised racism the past 200 years that the DEI message is starting to be heard and was starting to spread as well.
If there was ever a case to "wokify" such games it would have been in Mafia II and Mafia III. You won't see it in Mafia OC.

The woman in the trailer is fully covered, head to toe in some green clothing, unnaturally tidy. Also she gets presented with bloom lighting and other weird things going on.
Meanwhile... a bunch of dudes have their shirts open (bulge owners unite!), and look like Hollywood movie stars with the lighting/angles. When it comes to a trailer, everything is intentional.
I am doubtful we will see girl boss, but you never know these days. She might have a big secret, betray the bad guy, something like that. What it comes down to is the delivery of this information. It can be expressed 'for the message' or to tell a good story.
