Mafia II REMAKE ?

Any news or something ? The current state of mafia 2 definitive edition makes it totally unplayable...crashes on menu , save data problem etc...

I guess i'm lucky i didn't run into such problems after mine was updated to definitive edition. I replayed the entire game once again after the update with no issues whatsoever.

My subjective opinion remains that Mafia II was the last good game in the series.

Mafia series ended in MAFIA II ........ 2K dont understand we need a remake ...they remade only Mafia I ...pff..

I agree, I want more Vito and Joe but I doubt they will make another story for them. I dont see them doing a remake of 2 after they already did the definitive edition. But no Mafia compares to how great M2 is.

1st remake was a pile of monkey turds. The character direction and the toning down of period piece culture butchered any goodness M1 had. Paulie was a badass. Now he sounds looks and acts like a massive ♥♥♥♥♥.

i mean, he was basically tommy from goodfellas, my personal favorite mob movie.
i still don't know if "remake" is the right word. they basically did "of mice and men" within the mission framework, so i think adaptation is more appropriate.
too bad. as much as i liked the americana they injected into it, it would've been nice to play something more like goodfellas (keeping the tone in-line with 2).
and if they were gonna give sam the "tony montana" treatment at the end, then a dlc where we get to be the "scarface" would've been nice. instead of just the guy who took him down.

Plays just fine... My issue is the original is so buggy... It was superior graphically (maybe not technically, but with some of the effects) imo.
