Very true and they were not much of a car at that time anyway. Probably horse more reliable.
I'm curious about your opinion on the ending. Why is it bad? Tommy's philosophy change being about family is a little generic, I admit, but I really liked that he wasn't surprised in the new ending. It makes more sense that he would anticipate his demise rather than being surprised that his old life caught up to him like how it was originally.
