Mafia: Definitive Edition was also Hangar 13.

Hangar 13 is compromised of both veterans devs from 2K Czech (formerly Illusion Softworks) that worked on Mafia 1 and Mafia 2 as well as new talent. Mafia 3 was an attempt at something different and it failed. Big whoop. Mafia DE showed that they learned and are perfectly capable of making a good Mafia title. Quit being so negative and lighten up a little.

I hated it bro, the gameplay was really dumbed down in the remake, the combat was horrible, the driving sections was horrible, they had scripted roadblocks were the AI would crash every time, and u could win fist fights by mashing 1 button.

ohh yeah and putting red barrels everywhere and the AI would crouch behind them, lol.

90% of game studios do not have the original devs working for them anymore, that's completely unavoidable. Bungie doesn't have the original Halo devs anymore, Monolith doesn't have the original FEAR developers anymore. But OP acts as if Hangar 13 is completely unrelated to the original Mafia developer which isn't the case, since the original developer was dissolved into Hangar 13. So No I am not clueless.

My guy you are straight up the most delusional person I've come across all week, yes the developer was not named Hangar 13 back then, however the original developer stopped existing and the workers where hired by Hangar 13. Hangar 13 is as close as you will get to the original developers as possible. Are you this triggered by a company name? this happens all the time where companies stop existing and the workers will switch to the new studio making it still the same people. It happens all the time. The original developer doesn't even exist anymore under the original name, what do you even want here? The OG studio doesn't exist, and hangar 13 is as close as you gonna get to the OG developers.
