death (enemy)
will this guy be a constant threat or is he a single fight and never deal with him again?

just lost a perfect run to this guy because my 80% death resist flag decided to just die.

will picking this hero just have a chance to kill your run? this guy was stuck to the 4th position so if i had a leper i would have died in the fight since lepers is unable to deal dmg that far

Constant threat - I had Death show up twice in one run (and beaten both times), and so I would expect to see them again.

You can move death.

Death has a chance to show up in any resistance encounter if you have flag. I’m unsure if it can show up twice in one run. it should be on your checklist of things to have an answer to if you add flag to your party.

so leper blinds himself as a self nerf and flag is nerfed by the fact that a boss can just show up randomly. they really did a great job in removing characters in this game

Absolutely can - I've had that happen. Apparently someone even had Death show up 3 times! It might be linked to Flagellant's Toxic Meltdown - on the run that I had Death show up twice, I was going for the triple Lair Boss achievement and so Flag ended up going Toxic a few times.

fun fact: Death debuffs your Flagellant's DB resist by 50% right out of the gate. This is the one enemy where you REALLY want to keep him above 0 hp as he'll be incredibly unlikely to survive at that point. That's why your 80% DB resist Flag. died. He was really a 30% DB resist Flag. that fight

if i would have known this....
did he get a debuff that i missed or does the game not tell you this really important fact? i used a battle item that made him stronger at death door, its easy to keep him above 0 but when the boss gets 3 turns and beelines it for 1 character its a bit harder

Not easily dealing with Lepers problem for all his advantages speaks volumes about you complaining about this . . .

Death's very first thing she does is use the free action "Memento Mori" at the start of the round and always targets the Flagellant with it, stunning him, inflicting horror, and debuffing his DB resist for the fight

i saw him getting stunned but must have missed the debuff icon that pops up. a shame

Death can appear once per region. She's really had it with the Flag constantly ding dong ditching her.

it just seems to much to go out of my way just to let leper hit every attack when i can play with hellion, which does not blind itself and gets 50% more dmg if combo´d. i just dont see a reason to run leper. loved the guy in dd1 but hes just not good enough in dd2

Leper's got higher durability and survivability than Hellion

Yeah she gets winded from her big attacks

i only own 2 skills that get her winded atm. if it bleeds and the yamp. only use the yamp to remove invis and i dont even have if it bleeds on my bar. to busy smacking fools with combo or using iron swan.

and besides hellion got a skill that removes winded and gives her a dmg buff if the enemy is bleeding

after looking over lepers skills he gets from the shrine he just doesent have enough to bother with the blind. hellion is better for consistent dmg even if you dont have debuff res/combo mark while man-at-arms is better for supporting the team. i see 0 reason to use the leper

Too bad because there are LOTS of ways to deal with the Leper's blind effect... he gets trinkets that let him simply ignore the blind, LOTS of characters get combo potential (which allows the leper to ignore the blind), and items are a free action... EVEN THEN it's only a 50% miss chance and he hits like a friggin truck....
