I wish they either did not give those items at all or allowed some sort of trinket buy, which would make candles not pointless later. It don't need to be anything crazy and some better ones should cost a lot. Also be nice to preselect what trinket you wanna find or maybe have random hero trinket tied to their goal.
I mean it has meh things, but it's the start of the run. Starting with some of the end things would be pretty crazy
I don't know about you, but I always get the same horrendous trinkets first inn...
Yeah it's always the minor ones. But you can get bonus damage or healing with a downside early. Think of it like how you had to get to like level 3 dungeons in 1 to find not trash trinkets :P
i have never seen good trinket in inn
You're objectively better off while still unlocking the lategame items than you are after you've finished. It's a really odd design choice.
Once you've unlocked everything you should have learned enough that you'll do okay without such a boost.
That said, I can see being able to pick some items to start with as a cool mechanic.
yeah this is exactly the problem.
You should have the options to buy a bag of 2-3 trinkets to start the game with, with candles.
Give it something like 60% chance of trash, 35% of decent and 5% of good stuff. It would not be gamebreaking and would improve replayability in the long run imo.
What happens to collecting candles once everything is unlocked? Your idea sounds like a great candle sink for people who've unlocked everything
Like wtf, game supposes it's endless runs and they didn't make you can spend candles on trinkets etc.?
Like wtf are devs kinda mentally r3tarded?
I RUSHED to unlock every Trinket with candles THINKING that once all were unlocked I could spend them to start a run with ones I picked or at least some random ones.
But NO. It completely leaves out a mechanic that made the post game for DD1 so replayable. Which was on-demand builds for endgame.
It is absolutely RIDICULOUS we have nothing to spend candles on when and endgame option is soooooooo obvious. DD2 is such a disappointing game. The only reason I still play it sometimes is in hopes that I can find SOMETHING enjoyable I have missed thus far.
They STILL can't figure out how to many torches any fun. They have no answer for candles. The ability unlock forced minigames are, no exaggeration, the least fun part of any videogame I have every played. No Abomination. Runaway STILL sucks.
At least other people have thought of candles for trinkets idea. May the devs will figure it out in 2028
