you will probably get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ character for you comp + you will be missing the dead character mastery points
You might be surprised at what you can do with 3 heroes, you can actually usually clear a zone as long as you avoid the bosses/creature dens. At least you'll get some bonuses for reaching the inn and a replacement hero. Of course your mileage may vary if your "carry" hero got wiped and you're facing unfamiliar enemies.
Personally the length of the runs in DD2 i find causes a hero loss to be far more impactful and yet, at the same time, the result of losing a character has no greater impact on the wider game, like in darkest dungeon 1.
in DD2, it only equates to you, as a human on planet earth, wasting 45mins-2 hours of your precious time.
