Items disappear when clicking on them

I can't count how many times I get great triket or I want to use an item in the Inn only to remove it when Im double clicking it. Why is that happening?! Im not clicking shift to remove the item but they disappear anyway. Does anyone else have this bug or is it just me, sometimes it can be disastrous in middle of the run.

Are there multiple issues here?

There may in fact be an issue with people double clicking on items and using them and thinking that they disappear but that's not my issue. I buy some whiskey at the inn, then I single left-click on said whisky in my inventory and it disappears. There is no visual or audible feedback of any kind, the icon just vanishes. The benefits are not applied because I've never picked who to apply it to. This happens nearly every single time I arrive at the first inn.

Just happened to me. Was at the Inn - on the Wagon screen - double click on wagon item - it doesnt go to item slot, it just disappears.

So I thought "this run is done" and decided to double click everything in my inventory - yup, disappears.

No. In fact I never touch shift because I know its the delete key.

Yes, it happened to me several times, the worst case was when I lost a good trinket just because I double clicked for equiping it. Now I'm afraid of doing that and I must drag the item to the slot.
I can confirm that I didn't press Shift accidentally.

Someone in another thread was having the same exact problem in the game, but with control just going off automatically (bringing up the tokens legend pop-up). You may 'think' it's not a sticky shift key, he was pretty sure it wasn't his control key too. But it was.

Regardless, I don't see that there's a way to fix it, seeing as the key for deleting things cannot be rebound. I'd just stop double-clicking things and use drag-and-drop instead to be safe.

Same things happening to me too. Double clicking combat items in inventory deletes them completely instead of equipping it

I confirm this. I am at the Inn and all items I double click just disappear. Happened to inn items and stagecoach items. I can still drag and drop them. First time this happened after ~50 hours playtime.
