Act 3 Boss Help
Spoiler Alert!
I can not beat this boss, when eye is using gaze to put seen token it is always putting it in mirror position rank even if my character has taunt active in second/first position, they just ignore taunt...
Is this intended or i am missing something?

Taunts only work if they are capable of hitting that target. Certain enemies like the fish ladies can only attack the back row so the taunts do nothing. It could be a similar case as that.
Or it's something like an AOE where targeting just doesn't matter.

As Citrus points out, Taunt only works if the enemy has a move that can target the Hero that Taunted. The Eyes can only ever gaze at the Hero in the same rank as them, making Taunt useless. The way to beat the Eyes is to use Guard, and Shuffle your party (or attempt to Shuffle the Eyes, but this is risky), in an attempt to get a single Hero with all 4 eyes on them. Once a Hero has all 4 eyes on them, allow the Eyes to upgrade themselves and summon the actual boss. From there it's a race against time, since the boss applies stacking -Heal debuffs on the Heroes it attacks, so they eventually become unhealable.

Thank you for detail for explanation, it makes sense now.

I already started to shuffle party members to stack seen token, got boss to death door but wiped at end.
I didn't use guard so i needed to move tank through all ranks, but as you suggested using that will also help to minimize shuffling...

Don’t have to just move the tank, moving your units also works. Pulling units too, just make sure to calculate correctly where they end up.

Taunt and blind won't work on any phase. They really made it harder with the release patch, now it's a pure dps check since it's very hard to stack all tokens on one tank.

Dodges work though on the final phase. I use Repartee and my Grave Robber survived three hits with dodges while on DD.

Blind works on the first which helps stack tokens on your tank.

So once the eye puts a mark on someone, does it keeps targeting that unit even if they move them?

I have not done act 3 after release yet so theory crafting atm. Can you like kill two eyes that target characters you don't want targeted and then move the characters in the process to stack tokens on them? Or it is more complex like needing to move the eyes?

how the eye attacks works is once they stare someone, that guy will get its attacks, no matter how the position is shuffled. To remove the stare token, you'll have to kill the eyes completely (i.e. pop every eye on the stalk). The stalks can have multiple layers of health bar, depending on the number of eyes the stalk has. DoTs & Debuffs/buffs will carry over each layer, and the stalk will heal to full when gaining eyes, in addition to getting a dodge buff.

Moving either the heroes or the eyes work as they will always target the hero in the mirroring position. Skills like MaA's defender also works, MaA will eat the stare instead. You can also dodge the stares, but the eye will try again next turn.

Yes and blinds seem to work 100% of the time on them, instead of the usual 50%. So to get all 4 stares on your tank, use a combination of blinds, movement, damage, pulls and protect.

My Maa just died. I'm left without a tank. My composition now is wanderer grave robber , Virtuoso Jester , Aronist runaway, Surgeon PD. Who should be the tank?
Is it even possible to win with this comp....

Grave robber or jester with dodge+ tokens. Or just ignore the eye token mechanic entirely and try to kill it faster than you die, this team can apply lots of dot.

Taunt works for the first phase of this boss now, just FYI. Key is to get the tokens on 1, maybe 2 at most. Just took him down using a Flagellant Tank (scourge)- he had 2 tokens (died during fight) and Graverobber (ranged path... forget name). Graverobber can dodge tank if you have absinthe+ skill. Other 2 in party were Plague Doctor (Surgeon) and Highwayman (Sharpshot).

I just beat the act 3 boss but lost my MaA on the last turn cuz of the massive -% heal debuff

is there any way to cleanse debuffs? otherwise the fight wasn't too difficult once you can manage tokens on a tank, i would have probably done better with flaggelant tanking death doors

couldn't heal MaA after a few turns of -100% healing received

Afaik the debuff can be resisted, so bring a tempest leper.
