Next update...
I don't know how it's possible to be so blind and deaf.

I don't play the game anymore (300 hours /played), and everyone has explained why.

And what are they doing? They release an update touching everything except what needs to be touched...

I'm going to let you die in peace by permanently deleting this game from my account. I can't stand mediocrity anymore.

p.s. : don't hide behind "We listen to people to find out what they want", implying : "because we wouldn't know what to do". It's pathetic to take people for idiots like that. In the 1980s/1990s, games were released finished, without "feedback" from the population aka "mediocrity". You don't need to be very advanced in philosophy to know that a child doesn't know what's good for him, so how could they get what's good elsewhere ? So ask him for an hypothetic qulaity opinion is like ask a whale the best way to fly.

Then peace.

Or

Participate.

One or the other would be nice.

You're a little naive, aren't you ?
As long as they actually listen to the community and improve some of the stuff that has been said and asked repeatedly for years, then great. The carriage, UI and game speed should be priorities.

I don't get it. If you don't like the direction that DD2 is taking, then why non simply...leave?
More for me 😋

I will say, for those like me that already enjoyed countless hours with this game, and still going, we should brace for this upcoming feedback engagement, and yield the floor so to speak. UI, speed, retreat, etc, fall on a list of "won't change for me the game I already like". It's single player, so giving other players more advantage does not affect me. I see little need to defend against change, unless it's outright feature removal, such as relationships or BH hiring, which warrant arguing over. Options though? I have no reason to "nay" something that others feel so strongly about.

How do people like you, if they don't work for the publisher, manage to say "What we have is fine and we don't want anything more !" while we're swimming in mediocrity ? I'm interested in that for a post-internment psychiatric study.

What's the reason for coming to a forum to say "We don't want anything more," other than, as you wrongly accuse me, "looking for attention," like a child without parents ?

Seriously, have you seen the face of your cartoon icon ? Are you, what, 7 years old ?

Listening to the community is a SCAM that appeared 10 years ago. Most people are idiots who don't even know what's good for themselves. How could they know what's good for anything else ?

...

Saying that we "listen to the community" is a joke that publishers use to keep all their mediocre games under this pretext, so they sell more. It's the result of the arrival of finance in video games, and you fall for the trick of saying "No, we like the game," and you're happy to be ripped off. It's crazy, you're so out of touch.

You're pathetic, you know nothing, and at the same time, you're the guardians of this mediocrity ; you even fight for it.

Can't thank you enough for this insightful topic. Not just insightful, but approached in such a mature manner that clearly outlines the problems with Red Hook and Darkest Dungeon 2. Exposing the exploitative practice of offering to listen to customer feedback has been long overdue. Especially from such a clearly greedy and tyrannical corporation like Red Hook that is doing everything in their power to nickel and dime their customers. They've clearly and continually put the almighty dollar above all else in developing this mass market appeal slop. All while the pathetic sheep who PRETEND to like this game just act like complete sycophants to their corporate masters when we all know the truth is that our opinion is correct and anyone who disagrees with us is an idiot that doesn't know what's good for them.

Thank you, Demunhel. I've sent you a friend request in hopes that we can discuss other truths such as chemtrails and Flat Earth.
I haven't received any friend requests, so you're a liar.

Trying to divert the conversation from the issue by focusing it on me, whom no one cares about, is a magnificent admission of a desire to cover up.

As for your dubious insinuation between chemtrails and flat earth, I don't know what you're talking about. I'll leave you to your conspiracy theories; apparently, it's what you read online.
I don't care of you, i didn't read your message, don't try to center the discussion on me when i come to talk about real problems this game have.

I'm all for exposing and toppling corrupt systems. I simply disagree that that's what's going on here. Pardon my gaslit life as a fan of an indy game which I intrinsically enjoy, made by an indy company.

Back on topic, I also am supportive of the upcoming feedback opportunities for those who feel like their voice was left out. [EDIT:] And as I said earlier, I intend (and hope those like me intend) to step back on arguing for status quo. After all, status quo would not have gotten us DD2. Or DD1 for that matter.[/edit]

Demunhel being opposed to it just seems counter productive. (unless trolling is the aim, of course, which I always fall for)
