Will signal flare work on final kingdom boss ? (kingdom spoiler)

I messed up with the alpha den quest and fought him totally unprepared, he killed 6 of my heroes, and i already lost 3 before. So i'm here with C team Flagellant, Leper and highwayman.

I can buy a few veteran signal flares, but i'm not sure if final boss counts as a Lair, or if i should try something else instead.

Never tried, but I don't see how it could be counted as a lair, any more than a Confession boss would be. There's no lead-up to him, where you can normally escape. I assume the lair problem is the mechanical dilemma of what happens when you defeat the first group and go to the second.

However i went there and looked at the map which said "meat hook's lair", so figured the flares wouldn't work and changed my combat items.

Still managed to win with the 3 heroes !

Also yeah, I forgot it calls itself a lair.

No idea ! Would have been cool to see only the 3 heroes that survived, but maybe it's random/in memoriam of those who perished

Pretty cool experience overall, kingdom mode is a very nice addition and in my opinion more fun than confession
