Very confused on plague doctor death . . .

Was fighting a shambler and had just finished him with his two summons to go.
My Doctor was at death's door but wasn't suffering from any dots so I felt as though he was in fine condition.

Though when his turn came around he mysteriously died?
I'm not sure what it was that could have caused it, if anyone could shed light on the situation I would greatly appreciate it. :^)

isnt there a negative quirk with like an 5% chance of taking 2dmg or something
cant recall the name but i have seen it before ( EDIT maybe it is a disease not sure anymore)

would assume you would remember if you would have used any trinket which could cause dmg

Either damage on stress cultist trinket, or the trinket where you take damage resisting a DoT, in either case requiring a specific quirk or disease to trigger

Wow that's what happens when you take a break from playing for too long . . .

I do wish it was made abit more clear, I didn't realize how much vital death resist is for that item! 😅

FYI, I think a recent patch just changed that stress resist trinket. Instead of damage, you get horror. So no more random death door checks at start of turn from a random disease or quirk. Bad timing I guess, sorry.
