"This pop up window means that your current run will end and put you back to the Altar of Hope, it will not wipe your entire save.
Any unlocks such as items, trinkets or hero stories that you got during this run will be lost if you are in combat or traversing a Biome in the Stage coach."
And she was right, still have my save safe and sound. Excited to check this new stuff out now!
Hi there! If you are still having trouble loading after our update yesterday, please try verifying your files on Steam.
If that still does not work, please send your save files to our support@redhookgames.com email.

I did that thanks it solved the issue.
Hi there. To clarify, have you loaded into a Confessions save file, and seen that all your unlocks are gone? Or are you just seeing a message that tells you your current expedition contains invalid save data?
If you have just seen this message, this *only* is referring to the current expedition you are on. Your profile should be totally unaffected (unlocks should all be saved). It just means you need to start a new expedition.
If you have somehow lost your entire save file, then I would recommend emailing support@redhookgames.com for further investigation.
